We've long been admirers of Casa Brutus, a Japanese magazine exploring the cross-section of life and design. A few years ago, while visiting Tokyo, we purchased enough back issues to ruin an airport baggage handler's day. It was well worth it: we still find ourselves going back to those issues to seek out inspiration and ideas for a wide range of applications.
Since our visit to Tokyo we've been lucky to have been gifted a few issues by some of our Japanese friends, but we felt it was time to share these with our customers so we bridged the language barrier to import the latest 3 issues.
A visual smorgasbord, each issue easily communicates a point of view examining architecture, interior design, food culture, furniture design and tools for everyday living - all without a lick of english. Enjoy some photographs from the issues below and be sure to pick up a copy now in store.
