When Morris Kitchen's annual batches of Spiced Apple Syrup and Rhubarb Syrup arrived in-store we quickly shuffled a couple of bottles over to the lads at the Pourhouse to see what they could stir up. The Pourhouse specializes in cocktail cures and they took to the syrups immediately prescribing two beverages that will certainly wet your whistle.
Resident mixologist Lachlan Mackenzie invited us over on a recent morning to snap some photos and taste the concoctions - not a bad way to start the day.

Old Faithful Sunset
1 1/2 oz Jaral de Berrio Mezcal
1/2 oz Del Maguey Mezcal Vida
1/2 oz Bornholmer Amer
1/4 oz Morris Kitchen Rhubarb syrup
1 dash Bitter Truth Jerry Thomas Bitters
Stir ingredients with ice and strain into a serving glass. Swipe the rim with a freshly cut twist of lemon and add to the glass.
4oz near boiling water
1oz Booker bourbon
1/2 oz Ramazzotti amaro
1/2oz Morris Kitchen Spiced Apple Syrup
Build the ingredients in order and add a freshly sliced orange wedge and a cinnamon stick.
