When Morris Kitchen's annual batches of Spiced Apple Syrup and Rhubarb Syrup arrived in-store we quickly shuffled a couple of bottles over to the lads at the Pourhouse to see what they could stir up. The Pourhouse specializes in cocktail cures and they took to the syrups immediately prescribing two beverages that will certainly wet your whistle.
Resident mixologist Lachlan Mackenzie invited us over on a recent morning to snap some photos and taste the concoctions - not a bad way to start the day.
Request either drink on your next visit to the Pourhouse or simply follow the recipes below to make them at home. The Old Faithful Sunset is the perfect farewell to Summer while The Apple Dandy is particularly comforting on a rainy day like today. Enjoy!
