The boss usually takes Sunday's off so he can hit the beach: rain or shine. After one of his recent trips our friend Robert Fougere snapped the above photo. We thought you might enjoy it as much as we do.

A few new titles have been arriving in the store over the last couple of days. We were especially excited to find the new issue of Wilder on our doorstep yesterday - a publication for people enthralled by the natural world chalk full of stories, ideas, innovators, foodies, experts and amateurs from across the growing continuum.

As nice as it was to see these great works I was really struck by 3 large panels of found photographs from unknown photographers. I was instantly reminded me of my Grandmother's dining room: the walls were completely adorned with frames full of of old family photographs that I would pore over each time I visited.

Faribault Woolen Mills, a family-run operation for well over a century, began business at the end of the Civil War in 1865 processing local wool into batting using horse power. Demand for their product quickly grew so Faribault Woolen Mills built a factory on the Cannon river in order to harness the power of mother nature to get the job done.

For years they have been crafting some of the best wool blankets in North America. However, in 2009 the business was almost finished when it had to close its doors while overseas manufacturers circled around the factory eyeing up the looms to take back home. Thankfully Faribault Woolen Mills was able to relaunch the factory keeping production and jobs in North America.

We've been busy here re-stocking the store after the big holiday rush. Among plenty of new arrivals is our restock of Score+Solder. We picked up a few new styles that we are quite pleased with. Looks like we're not the only ones excited about them.

On our internet travels we're always coming across gems - we usually post them on our facebook page, but we would like to start a weekly column here where we point you to some of the things that have caught our eye over the last 7 days.

For instance, released only yesterday is the trailer for 2012's most anticipated film: - Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom. May 25th seems way too far away for this one...
